Today’s post is a special story that happened on 4th of April – over a month ago. If you follow me on Instagram, you probably know how much I love Bruno Mars, especially his last album: 24K Magic. Obviously, when I saw the world tour dates I was so excited because he was coming to Portugal. Although I didn’t want to go by myself so I talked with a few friends and out of the blue, two of them already got the tickets. I was jumping with excitement and once I got home I went straight to the website to see if they were still available. Sadly, I got too late and they were all sold out.

To be completely honest I lost all my hope. I truly believed I lost my opportunity. Although, I kept money aside so if I ever got that chance again I wouldn’t miss it. The reason why I stopped myself from buying new books for almost 3 months to save money that I could possibly spend on the trip as well as the ticket. Even though I wasn’t sure I could go I kept a positive thinking and if in the end, I got no luck I still could spend it in books.

Five days before the concert, they released more tickets “that were kept by the production”. It didn’t matter what kind of business they are running I just wanted a ticket and not too expensive. Turns out I bought it at the same price as my friends and just 5 days before the concert. I could finally say I was going to SEE BRUNO MARS!!

Once we arrived, we decided to enjoy the city a little more before joining in the cue. After lunch, we went shopping at the one store I was dying to go inside and never had the chance: Sephora. After all this time watching Youtubers talking about how amazing was the smell of the Too Faced peach palette, I actually got to experience it – and let me tell you they are right. And how beautiful the Naked 2 from Urban Decay really is. I was in heaven and all the “famous” make up brands I saw thousands of times on YouTube and blogs were just there in front of me.

By the end of the afternoon around one hour before they opened the doors we decided it was time to go to the cue for a chance to be as next to the stage as we could. We actually got really close, more than I was expecting. We waited 3 and half hours for Bruno to start and inside the building was boiling hot. The concert started on time with Anderson .Paak and The Free Nationals. For some reason, the name sounded familiar but I never heard a song. The style is more Hip Hop and R&B – which are my favourites – and it not disappointed They have a great vibe and they did a great job “warming up” the crowd for Bruno.

He was just amazing!! So much energy!! He can make you feel as if you can do everything we wish for. I miss so much this feeling. The powerful. I miss the feeling of being able to change my life around just with one wish, just by making it and Bruno you gave me that. Thank you so much!!

The Hooligans were awesome!!! I love Bruno but the band man… don’t get me started!! They were full of energy, amazing dancers – Bruno included obviously! – if they did anything alone even if just instrumental I would be a fan.

The show was luxurious, magical, gold, heartwarming an overall superb experience. The lights, the fire, the confetti better yet golden confetti, the firework – how is it possible to shot firework indoors?? – I was jumping around, dancing, singing – more screaming than singing. I found people from my hometown – how crazy!! – and even made new friends.

By the end of it I was sweating like a pig – great comparison – I was thirsty, my body hurting in places I don’t even know existed – my neck, my hands, my arms, my shoulders, my feet, my throat, my legs – but every time he started a new song everything got away. And I was a truly happy girl who just wanted to go home, relax and change my world for once in my life.

So if you have the opportunity to see Bruno Mars or any other artist that you love, just grab it and don’t think twice. You will fell amazing and have one of the great experiences of your life. And later you will have a story to tell because we never go just watch a concert there is always something else happening and if we stay at home we will miss those moments.
