November Book Overview
I don’t know how I did it but I made it!! I accomplished my goal settled for this month !! Hupp hupp, I’m so happy!! It was sad the end of Allegiant but it was worth it. If you want to know more I did a review on Monday. I was getting so tired of reading the books. I just read Allegiant right after I finished Insurgent I actually can’t even remember reading the end of Insurgent. Is so strange. And jumping right from one to the other without any break kinda feel I’ve been reading a big hole book with 800 pages (probably the size of both books together) and the second book being so… – I don’t want to say boring because it wasn’t – steady and it was so slow – again I have a review of it – there wasn’t as many shocking situations and emotions that left a big mark in my mind so it is big blur. If I think hard enough I can remember everything about the story but I need to do it step by step, otherwise, I would stick to one situation and don’t even know what happened before or after.
Note to self: Before jumping into another book series make sure to be prepared for it. You’ll be reading a story with the same characters in the same genre. So take it easy and no rush.
I also read Four: Divergent stories I won’t be doing a book review is so small and is just a few small stories for fans I feel isn’t enough to do a full blog post about it – it would end up being a short post – so is better if I just say what I think about it here. After all, this is the place to talk about my monthly readings.
The book is so delightful for true fans of the series. Any piece of information and small stories never told before are a blessing. I was curious to know more about Tobias past and it gave me it but if the book could be bigger and more detailed it would be amazing. Again I was wishing for the series to end but at the same time, I want more and more… Now the only thing left are the movies.
Throughout this month I didn’t purchase any other books but I did join to my wish list a few more. Here I am saying I don’t want to get myself into another series or trilogies and most of my recently added books are the first ones in others series editions. I need to be careful the next time I go shopping or I’ll end up buying them. Although, I find some “new” names I want to give a try and perhaps buy this Christmas: We Were Liars by E. Lockhart, Everything, Everything and The Sun Is Also A Star by Nicola Yoon and finally The Female of the Species by Mindy McGinnis. These books were reviewed or recommended by Youtubers and after reading the synopsis I thought they would be interesting so I want to give it a try. Other titles are The Tea Planter’s Wife by Dinah Jefferies and The Light of Paris by Eleanor Brown both are historical fictions I want to try and see if I enjoy the genre. Also, I want to do a shout out again to the next book by Veronica Roth when it hits the shops I’m going to be one of the first to buy it for sure.
So my plans for December are to read at least two books once again. First is Let It Snow because is set up at Christmas and I want to feel the Xmas spirit as possible. Also, one of the stories is written by John Green so is going to be a test to see if I like the way he writes if so his books are going to be on my want-to-read list next month. I want the book to last until Christmas eve because the week before Christmas is going to be though for me – I’ll still have classes so in those days I need a bit of motivation and inspiration. Although if I take forever to read it I won’t be able to read Fan Girl by Rowell Rainbow until the end of the year – is literally a week apart – and changing up the order will end up being a strange thing to read a Christmas book after Christmas… yeah I need to read Let It Snow first and then Fan Girl until the end of the year. Fingers crossed I will end up this year gracefully accomplishing another goal.
